This ELSD has been developed as well for ultrafast HPLC.
The light source is a 405 nm laser, which increases the sensitivity even further.
Sedere’s unique Low-Temperature-Technology allows outstanding analytical results to be achieved with this detector.
As a universal detector, an ELSD offers numerous possibilities for detecting substances that have few or no chromophores. Since the eluents are evaporated, the use of non-UV-compatible solvents poses no problems and the ELSD is gradient compatible.

- Splitting
With the aid of the nebulizer, the mobile phase is transformed into a fine droplet mist. The Sedex LT technology ensures that only the finest droplets enter the evaporation unit. Larger droplets increase the baseline noise considerably.
- Low evaporation temperature
This discrimination of the larger droplets allows a very low evaporation temperature so that with reduced baseline noise it is possible to detect even semi-volatile substances.
- GSF™ bundling via inert gas
The mist and the molecules dissolved in it are transported with the aid of GSF (gas supported focusing) to an optical unit for measurement of light-scattering. This bundling of the dissolved particles with the aid of the inert gas allows highly sensitive detection. It also prevents contamination of the optical unit by samples particles.
