Fully automated temperature controlled column selection within a chromatography data system is the ideal way for unattended and overnight operation when using different methods with different columns and temperature.

The MistraSwitch system solution of the company MayLab is designed for fully automated selection for up to 10 UHPLC columns (up to 15000 psi) or 10 HPLC columns (up to 5000 psi) under temperature control using a Mistral column thermostat. The System consists of a Mistral column thermostat, 2 motordriven valves (VICI Cheminert) and the MS 5000 interface, built into a rugged housings.

Software drivers are available for all well-known chromatography data systems.

Both valve drives are selecting the column at exactly the same time.
The actual column position is constantly being reported over the interface to the driver software, as well as the actual oven temperature. 

Error reports are displayed (eg faulty valve) and if necessary, th actual running method is stopped immediately. 

Each switching cycle is recorded in a log file, including action, time and date stamp. Thereby the systems activities will be manageable and reproducible for the operator.
